Putrajaya, 2nd September 2007: Finale of the Malaysia International Fireworks Competition at Putrajaya. I had to walk 3 km through a dark, deserted path to get to this vantage point. Lights illuminating landmarks around ground zero were turned-off during the fireworks display. What's the point of hosting the event at such a beautiful place when almost none of its landmarks can be photographed together? I have included three pictures from the fireworks display at Tasik Titiwangsa during the VMY2007 launch for comparison. The Ferris Wheel was dimmed-down but not totally darkened during the display. At the MIFC, the only lighted landmark nearby was this bridge.
