By tradition, the GT Girls or Race Queens are as important as the drivers and the cars in the series. Some of the girls are celebrities themselves, with their own fan clubs and umbrella girls. Last year, some MPs (with no pressing issues in their constituency) were unsure whether the girls were attired in hot pants or bikinis. The ensuing debate in Parliament turned into a storm in a teacup. As a result, the babes are dressed a little less itsy bitsy this year.
