Ho Chi Minh City, 6th October 2008: A Beer Beckons. After sundown, there are bars, pubs and beer hawkers in every nook and cranny.
Saigon is safer than KL at night. Snatch thieves and muggers are executed by firing squad after sentencing, I was told. If they were to hang one, there are plenty of overhead cables. See the tangle of telephone and electricity wires spanning from the lamp post above.
