Address: KM 5 to 6, Jalan Pantai, Si Rusa District, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia
Postcode (Poskod): 71000 Port Dickson
Area: Mukim Si Rusa, Port Dickson (P.D.)
Jurisdiction: Majlis Perbandaran Port Dickson MPPD (See Local Govt)

Directions: Take the Port Dickson exit on the KL- Seremban Highway (PLUS North-South Expressway). Turn right after the exit and in a short distance get on to the Port Dickson Highway. Near its end, turn right at a traffic light junction. The road goes pass the huge army complex and joins the PD coastal road. Drive for about 1.8 km along the beach towards Port Dickson town. Bagan Pinang begins from near the Petronas station on your right.

Info / Insights: There are goats, chickens and rustic kampung houses. There are bungalows, terrace houses and fancy cars. Like the goats above, party workers from opposing camps will soon charge into the sleepy hollow. Buntings and flags will hang from Casuarina trees for the upcoming state by-election. For about two weeks, loud-hailers will drown the gentle bleats of the goats and the motherly cackles of the hens.

Bagan Pinang is loosely defined as a village, a housing area as well as an area along the coast of Port Dickson where fishermen used to anchor. It is also the name of the state seat (N 31) which falls under the Teluk Kemang parliamentary constituency.

Bagan Pinang (the village) melts into the background in an area filled with tourists, holiday resorts, restaurants and souvenir shops. It is along the same stretch of beach in PD where most of you have probably visited without realising you were in Bagan Pinang.
