Galaxy of stars to entertain Malaysian fans

What is it?
Masters Football is an established football tournament that brings together some of the best ex-pros the game has ever seen. The likes of John Barnes, Ian Rush, Bryan Robson, Lee Sharpe, Gianfranco Zola, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Ray Parlour and Stan Collymore all regularly compete on the Masters circuit, which is already a huge event in the UK… and now it is coming to Malaysia for the first time! 

Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and an EPL All Stars team will be flown in to compete for the inaugural 6-a-side Masters Football Malaysia Cup, taking place on 7 December 2008 (kick-off 5pm) at the Malawati Stadium in Shah Alam. 

This is an important tournament, highlighted by the fact that Sky Sports will be beaming the matches live back to the UK audience.  

As well as a festival of football, it will also be a family fun-day with a pre-match carnival (starting at 2pm) featuring inflatables, stalls, music and more fun and games than you can shake a stick at. And then it is down to the football… 

Tickets start at RM38 (50% discount for children under the age of 16), giving fans a fun-filled day in which they can see the stars, grab an autograph and watch some of the best players to have graced the game right before their very eyes! 

Who is playing?
There’s a galaxy of stars about to entertain. From Liverpool, there’s: Ian Rush, Paul Walsh, Phil Babb, Don Hutchison, Mark Walters and Stan Collymore, amongst others.

From MU, you’ll see: Bryan Robson, Lee Sharpe, David May, Gary Pallister and Viv Anderson.

Arsenal fans will get to cheer on their legends, consisting of, amongst others: Ray Parlour, Anders Limpar, Johnny Jensen and Michael Thomas, while the EPL All Stars team will boast the likes of Lorenzo Amoruso, Craig Hignett, Gus Poyet Carlton Palmer, Shaka Hislop, and Peter Beagrie! 
 
How to get tickets
Tickets are on general sale through Axcess Tickets (see www.axcess.com.my for further information about outlets) and start at only RM38 (50% discount for kids under 15).
