Kuala Lumpur, 25th September 2007: The Mid-Autumn Festival is commonly known as the Mooncake Festival or Lantern Festival in Malaysia. Celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, it is a evolving Chinese tradition. I photographed this girl a few days earlier and was reminiscing about the lanterns I used to like as a kid. I saw only Power Puff Girl, Superman and Spiderman lanterns that night. Whatever happened to those simple fish or rabbit lanterns? Fear not, they are still around.
