With its proximity to Sumatra, Lumut is highly susceptible to the perennial haze problem caused by open burning across the straits.
In contrast, the Janamanjung power station utilizes Flue Gas De-sulphurization (FGD) which removes sulphur oxide gases from
and electrostatic precipitation (ECP) which traps dust particles in the flue gas. Enough of jargons? Let's go to the islands...
