Ampang, 17th October 2007: Black vs White. One of the most challenging aspects of photographing the procession is the white apparel worn by worshippers. With flash, it overexposes easily, especially in wide shots. Setting the exposure for white, darkens the background too much. In this case, reducing the flash power also helped isolate the main subject from the background which was a fire station.
