Directions: Luna Bar is located on the rooftop of Pacific Regency Hotel Suites / Menara Pan Global. The hotel is co-joined at the hip with her dominant twin, the Pan Global building. Getting to Menara Pan Global is easy. Lorong P Ramlee is situated between The Weld and the Shangri-La Hotel. Coming from KLCC, the turning is just after Menara Hap Seng (formerly MUI Plaza). The tricky part is getting to Luna Bar from the ground floor of Menara Pan Global. Take a lift to the 22nd floor, walk to the other side of the building and go up a flight of stairs. From there take another lift to the 34th floor penthouse, exit and take yet another stairs to the rooftop.
Alternatively, enter via the main entrance (lobby) of Pacific-Regency which is on Jalan Puncak, the same road as Menara KL (KL Tower). From there, you can take the lift from the ground floor (which is at at Level 7) to Level 34. Although it may not be easy getting back to the car park after a few drinks, it still advisable to park in the building itself. Outside, there are jaga keretas masquerading as car jockeys (vice-versa). Remember, this is the Golden Triangle and part of the Jalan P Ramlee entertainment strip.
Additional Info: Luna Bar is a rooftop, poolside lounge-bar-restaurant in the likes of glitzy Vertigo, atop the Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok. Luna Bar may not be as high and the view may not be as spectacular
but you do get quite a nice take of the KL skyline at night. On a clear evening/day, the monolithic Batu Caves is even visible.
The other main attraction is the eye-soothing pool which takes up a sizable area. While the longish bar is quite enticing, the little nooks with floor-seating surrounding the pool are quite cozy and private.
If you desire a higher view, there is a small upper deck, filled with even more pretentious folks :)
After 9:30 pm, the elegant-sliding-art deco-glass-door is ornamented with doorpersons. Cover charge of RM 50 (inclusive one drink) applies during weekend and eve of holidays. There is no dress code but try not to be too shabby unless you are a hotel guest going for a swim.
Luna Bar is frequently misspelled or wrongly referred to as Lunar Bar. Opening hours: 5pm to 1am (Mondays thru Thursdays), 3pm till late (Fridays & Saturdays).
