Directions: Damansara Heights is encircled by Jalan Beringin. You can get to Jalan Beringin via Jalan Semantan or by the "back way" from the National Science Centre. The inner roads may seem simple on a map but once you are in it on the ground, the roads suck you in like a maze.

Info / Insights: Bukit Damansara is the quiet residential enclave surrounded by Bukit Kiara, Taman Tun, Bangsar, Sri Hartamas and Jalan Duta. The area's transformation into an up-market neighbourhood was a slow, gradual and organic process that first started in the 1960's. This is in contrast to the numerous force-fed 'Damansara-wannabe' springing up all around. Damansara Heights unwittingly inspired a thousand Damansara Something, all trying to capitalise on the perceived prestige of the name.

Bukit Damansara still possess the cozy charms that attracted the original inhabitants who were mostly senior government servants and expatriates. The main roads are broad and lined with shady trees. Each bungalow is differently built or renovated, quite unlike the faceless, gated-colonies now mushrooming everywhere.
